Located just an hour south of Miami on the Bay at Mile Marker 104. Some of the best-know restaurants, dive shops, and snorkeling and deep-sea fishing charters in all the Keys can be found within a 1-mile radius of Moon Bay. It is also the closest private resort to the most popular park in all the Keys, John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park which offers boat rentals, scuba and snorkeling tours, glass bottom boat tours, and more. Less than a mile from the resort, you can even swim with the dolphins at the Dolphin’s Cove Marine Research Center.

Summer Season

  • Dates: May 26, 2025 (Memorial Day) – September 1, 2025 (Labor Day)

Mini Lobster Season

  • Dates: Wednesday, July 30 – Thursday, July 31, 2025
  • Note: Always the last Wednesday & Thursday in July.

Lobster Season Opener

  • Date: August 6, 2025
